The average annual wage in Nepal is between £150 - £200 per year. It is considered to be amongst the poorest countries in the world, and yet it is rich in so many other ways. Even though by Western comparison the standard of living is very low, we actually saw and met more smiling and happy people in Nepal than we sometimes do in the so called western civilized world.
